Newbie looking for quality advice
Hello! A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to have one of the most incredible and impromptu experiences I’ve had. I have been in awe of the A5 for years, but have never actually seen one in person. I was sitting on the dock chatting with friends and one landed on the water right in front of my dock. - I had to jump on the jet ski to go check it out! I ended up having a great conversation with the owner and within 10 minutes he was following me back to the dock to take me for a ride. (Truly one of the nicest individuals I have met) Within minutes we were airborne and flying over one of my favorite places on earth with no side windows. Unbelievable! Next, he taught me how to fly it… all I can say is that I feel extremely grateful to have met Jack and to have had this experience.
So, clearly, I have the bug. I have been checking out local flight schools and learning as much about the A5 as I can. I’ve watched every video possible and have read a ton, but I would like to find out from past and current owners, general thoughts… I have spent a lot of time in the right seat of small airplanes, but I would like to find out more from an owners perspective about the A5. What to people think regarding the bankruptcy and purchasing an A5 right now? Resale? The older version versus the newer version with more payload? Worth the extra money? Regarding trailers, if I find a plane that doesn’t have a trailer, is it possible to find trailers out there that are for sale? Open or enclosed? Etc. etc.… any information is good information. Thank you in advance!
