    Insurance Victory - Webinar Interest?

    Hi All,

My attempt to buy an A5 fell through because I couldn't find a reasonable insurance policy. During that process I came across Joe Ryan at Wings Insurance. (http://www.wingsinsurance.com/) He said that if I'd called him first he might have been able to negotiate a better deal for me.

Fast-forward about a year and I'm about to take delivery of a Pipistrel Sinus. I made sure to call Joe and he did a great job for me. He got me a premium 5-10% less than the nearest competitor, with far more favorable terms than any other company offered. I believe he'd be able to help many Icon owners as well.

I'd like to host a webinar/zoom call for him to make his case to this group. I think it'd be good for everyone to hear what he offers and at least know they have an option when it comes time to renew. Would you be interested in this?

I would be interested. I went bare on my hull this year (liability only), it was unreasonably high with a $50k in-motion deductible!

My policy is with Global Aerospace. This year I'm paying $7,075 for $200k hull value plus $1M liability (not smooth). It's time to renew and I'm wondering if I could do better elsewhere?

I wrote Joe Ryan about setting up a webinar. I'm optimistic that he'll be willing to participate. I'll let you know when we figure out a time for an event.

Joe Ryan will be presenting at the IOPA Fly-in in Tavares on February 4th, if you are able to join the group.

Great. I will be happy to hear what he has to say. I used to pay $3k a year for my SeaMax with full $150k hull and liability. That went up to $5,500 last few years, but still acceptable. I was just quoted $35k for my Icon with full hull value and I have 700 hours LSA flying with no claims in 12 years. I was also quoted $10k for liability only but I haven't shopped it yet.

Hi! I just purchased hull # 163 last Oct and flew it to Tampa with my instructor where it is currently based. I plan to pick it up and bring it home here in upstate NY this spring and would like to get just liability insurance so I too am interested in who you're using for your insurer Michael G. Thank you.

Hello Michel, for informational purposes I paid about $9K last year for full coverage ($240K hull value) going through Marsh last year. However I do have over 20K total hours and have worked as an airline pilot most of my life. But in the three years I have owned my A5 I have never found a lower cost agency to go through than Marsh.
