    Icon parts on eBay

Noticed one seller on eBay has a bunch of parts for an Icon. Just in case someone is looking for something specific.

haha, someone is ebaying off a bunch of ICON Mexico factory tools (torque wrenches), and spare parts, and final assembly parts. I had heard rumors that during the BK process they didn't pay the mexico pass through company and they were embargoing tools parts access etc not sure how true or not but as Bill Maher's occasional bit "I don't know it for a fact, I just know it to be true". I wonder if someone on the inside they got this stuff across the boarder to San Diego as the seller is in San Diego and is now selling or the mexico plant sold off the inventory to a bulk buyer to try and recoup losses. The parts arn't that discounted (well from normal non-icon markup prices) TBH they know what they are worth. That said some things are more expensive than from aircraft spruce (Garmin Parts for example)

For those that might have a DAC issue this might be good to have on hand. You CANNOT start the aircraft without this device and they are completely custom. https://www.ebay.com/itm/37694973382...QAAeSwqxhpijfx

He did have 2 altimeters. One was new. Try contacting him.

When I now look at his completed listing, it shows he sold 2.

I would bet a dealer cleaned him out. Everything looks sold now. There was all instruments, air speed, fuel, aoa, autopilot, trig head, plus many other parts.

I tried to buy the Trig Head and the Trig GPS antenna and made an offer at half price for both, English was certainly a second language as he used the term momento vs moment. He said he was "unable" to sell them at the momento. Not sure to take that as he couldn't sell at that price or that he decided he couldn't sell in general.

Since everything is gone, I half wonder if ICON shut him down but the dealer theory is also possible.

If you look at the sellers completed listings, you’ll see that a lot of the items actually sold.

In regards to Icon shutting them down, I noticed afterwards they were no longer using the actual Icon or A5 names. Instead it was Ixxx and Ax.
