Favorite spots in South Florida
Hi All,
I've been having a blast for the past few months with my plane flying around the Miami area. I wanted to pick everyone's brain to see if they had some favorite spots. Looking for some lunch places, that are Icon friendly either by dock, ramp, or beach access.
Thanks in advance and happy to meet any of you at your favorite spot.

Hey Adam! My favorite spot is about a 1.5hr hour flight north of you — a little restaurant called Camp Holly. The food is unbelievable for such an off-the-beaten-path joint. They’ve even modified the ramp (removed trees and signs) so seaplanes can pull right into the parking lot.
The restaurant sits on the Saint John’s River, just north of Sawgrass Lake. Keep an eye out for airboats and alligators! That whole chain of lakes — including the river — is super seaplane-friendly and an absolute blast to fly. Best part: there aren’t any homes in the area, so you can enjoy ops for hours without disturbing anyone.
I’ve got a couple dozen more in south Florida - feel free to reach out anytime to catch up and talk further. -

Camp Holly is the name of the spot. Bring a grass peg to tie to or There’s a ramp - just edited my message to remove comment about squeezing in - sounds like they removed the tree and sign that were in the way. Awesome spot!!
