    Wing Supports

Not sure how this will be received but my instructor and I came up with an idea on how to support the wings from accidentally dislodging from the 'hooks' using bungee cords. I think it works well and can save you the 2400$ expense of the wing supports from Icon. Easy to install and remove and then stow away in the aircraft.

Have you tested how far it will fall if the pin failed or the release push button was accidentally pressed? Just wondering if the slack in the bungee’s would still allow the wing to fall low enough to damage anything.
    Appreciate the info.
I’m going to try a few things when I get back to my plane… possibly a tie-down strap instead of bungee?
Thanks for sharing and safe flying!

Yes of course. Two bungees ensures it will not hit the deck

As someone that was victim of a wing drop initiated by a curious FBO employee, thanks for sharing. What length bungee cords did you buy?

Looks great - do you know the brand or a link to where you purchased them from?
